Wekfest Seattle 2026
Another year, another Wekfest in the Pacific Northwest! To be honest, I was a bit hesitant on making this blog post mainly since the new multi caption feature on IG has been a hit, but for the love of the game I had to make it happen lol. This is usually a 2 part coverage, but I didn’t really capture as much as I wanted to simply because I was enjoying the moment and recording clips for the next nonsense vlog I post the following year 🤣
I wasn’t sure what to expect for this year’s show, except for the fact that Wekfest did something different. They curated “Team California” - A collective of heavy hitting enthusiasts that goes on tour to other shows just like the old days. So it was refreshing to see some other high caliber builds in our region. Other than that, it ended up being a great turnout overall. Rare faces popped out for the one time, even with their cars. More exhibitors from Canada, Oregon, and Idaho made the trip. Wekfest never fails to get people together at this well organized gathering.
Kinda funny how quite a few people came up to me and asked where the GS was. It was amusing to know there’s others so excited about something that’s gonna be basic lol. Next year should be more promising… Anyways enjoy the post.
Intec Racing always has a proper line up of Nissans at every Wekfest event.
Ekk Sengchantha’s Midnight Purple R34 on Nismo LMGT4’s.
A lot of people don’t seem to care for Crestas as much when it comes to the JZX, but when they’re done right they can stand out hard like this one owned by Jordan Lynch. He paired an ITO wide body real well with the BN Sports kit, and sits nice on polished Work VS-KF wheels. One of the top 5 new builds to show out this year for me.
Hiro’s Hotrods incoming 🤘🏼
Austin Hironaka brought in the Wonder Civic after being out of commission for some time. Still looks great!
Team California had some unique builds, including this Datsun 240Z built by Adam Mao from Dynamic Autoworks. I was always familiar with Adam from his iconic GS from back in the day which he drifted fairly often and even made it on the cover of Super Street. When we chatted I had found out he regrettably sold it, but eventually got it back! He plans to rebuild it eventually, but in the meantime enjoy this flawless Pandem S30 sitting on Work Meister CR01 wheels.
What makes this build extra unique is the properly built 2JZ swap. So fire!
Chelsey Pacheco spent some time this last year to throw her K-swap in the EK. She switched to an Exceed V2 lip, but still kept the Cusco wing and CE28’s. She managed to roll in just fine, but leaving was a different story…. All good though! We all run into hiccups every now and then!
SERIALNINE had a nice fleet this year including Cody with his slammed Toyota Crown Athlete.
Loc Nguyen retained the same look on his PY ITR wtih the C-West front half spoiler, J’s Racing hood & fenders, OEM optional side skirts & rear valences, Ganador mirrors, but switched up the Gen 2 Mugen wing to a FEEL’S one. He switches wheels every so often though. This time he went with some aggressively staggered bronze CE28’s. This is probably my favorite look so far!
At this point, I’m pretty sick of looking at Alex Tran’s E36 M3 🤣 But this is fairly new… He came up on this 6 speed TSX from his sister in AZ, and wasted no time turning it into a fancy daily with all the Mugen aero, MF10’s, and Ganadors.
Chris Rafanan ditched the RE30’s and rocked some polished Precedeo Type S wheels. He always finds a way to be different without doing too much, which is why he always wins Best S2000.
Fulina Tran’s Maldives Blue II S15 on Nismo LMGT4 wheels.
Solid S-Chassis lineup…
Huy Hoang’s Mugen Protoype EP3 looking sleek as always.
I believe Huy’s RSX is still in SoCal, but he still had someone bring in his Nuoc Mam EK. Hats off to him for winning best Civic! Can’t remember for which car, so we’ll go with both for now lol.
Not much has changed on Brian Madayag’s K-swapped EG, but still looks good!
Trikspeed came out hard this year!
After many years, Tam Phan finally brought out his CB7 Accord. Definitely one of those IYKYK type of things. He’s been on a crunch time to get everything dialed in for Wekfest with the Endless brake setup and MF10’s. Nothing too crazy, but it was definitely a neck breaker. Hopefully it won’t be another 20 years til he brings it out again…
Terry Souvanarith went with some British Racing Green CE28’s this time around. Something different, but I dig it!
The man himself, Joey Lee, getting some fire shots…
Ken Sugawara recently joined the Trikspeed crew, which means solid upgrades to the EK such as 17” CE28’s and Spoon brakes. Good stuff par!
I wasn’t expecting Alex & Sarah Chac, aka @chax.pix, to pop out like this, but I’m glad they did! Scroll down for more details because this is just too good!
Austin Pennington’s stunning 240SX equipped with a Hot Road kit fused with an OEM Kouki bumper, polished Nismo LMGT4 wheels, and Ganador mirrors. He pays homage to the infamous Teruaki Itai of Team N.O.L.S.D and his RPS13 180SX. So good!
Reggie Mah of Night Runner International made some changes to his F80 over the winter & spring. He ditched all the carbon and paint matched all the aero. Love it!
Galileo Galang also made some subtle changes to his DE5 aka Eva. He threw on an AeroflowDynamics along with some aggressive BBS RI-D wheels. Gal also paint matched the Voltex Type 12 wing. Looking good Kuya!
Mitch Fleischer’s factory British Racing Green F80 M3 on BBS E88’s.
BRG 240SX suited with a Type X kit and Work Emotion XD9 wheels.
Every time I see this coupe, I just think of Manila Grey lol…
Brandon Leung also made it down from Canada in his eye catching S15.
I was surprised to see Jeremiah Whipple show out with his EG…
Clean and simple F80 M3 on BBS E88’s owned by Eric Nguyen.
Jose Pratts’ Boost Blue FL5 Type R fitted with some Mugen Aero, CLEib Swan Neck GT Wing, and CE28SL wheels.
Marvin’s Zenki S14 on Advan RS wheels.
Kinda hard to keep track of what cars Andrei Altamirano has in his fleet. Man switches up cars faster than I do with ABG’s… Anyways here’s his Evo 9 on TE37’s of course lol…
Minh Bui’s G80 M3 on BBS E89’s.
Tim Moth finally went to the Bimmer side with his F80 M3 on BBS E88’s.
Kham Khi’s gold EG sporting a Sergeant bumper paired with a Rocket Dancer lip, Chargespeed fenders, J’s Racing hood & wing, and Advan RG1 wheels.
Never thought I’d see a Veilside Fortune Supra in real life, let alone in the PNW. Always used this car in Forza Motorsport 2 when I was in middle school. Super nostalgic and a nice treat to witness.
Tuan Vu’s lifted Tundra on matte mage blue TE37’s wrapped in beefy 38’s.
Jonny Cha made the trek up north from Cali as well in his GS-F on Work Voggard wheels.
Jacob Romero showed out again with his immaculate Evo VI. This time he decided to roll on some brushed OG Regamaster Marquis Promadas. I’m biased so you know this is my favorite setup so far lol…
Jag Matto’s added this Revuelto to his Lambo fleet. He also has a matching Urus with the same wheels as well.
This shiba brightened up my morning very well.
Rich Alejandro switched back to the OEM front with carbon lip & canards, and also threw on a set of brushed TE37 Saga S-Plus.
Mila Bunny been on a tour lately with not just herself, but her Pandem GR86 as well. From Texas, to Cali, and now Washington. Those road trips must’ve been a bit brutal, but she made it happen and I giver her mad props!
Best part of her car has to be the full Project Mu big brake setup tucked behind some SSR Minervas. Proper taste 👌🏼
Pristine Dakar Yellow E36 M3 housing an S54 swap and HRE wheels.
It was cool to have a SEMA build in the building. Dylan’s “GMW E36” was something that broke many necks at the show. The attention to detail was amazing including the clean flawless paint and several custom billet parts, including the center lock wheels.
Mean looking LS6 swap paired with Redux Racing ITB’s.
AJ Castro’s managed to bring out his E46 M3 that underwent some massive changes over the years including an engine bay refresh and some fine tuning to his S54 motor. Love the ITB’s of course.
Loved the color on this E30 coupe bagged on Work Meister CR01 wheels.
Thomas Hatcher took a slight break from his TBSS and focused more on this Silverado pickup with that wet candy paint and 24" wire wheels.
Perfect color combo on this Blobeye WRX owned by Michael Jenkins.
GarageFind86 clean & simple ‘87 SR5 Corolla on Suzuka Longchamp M-1’s.
Proper Kouki S14 running a Vertex kit on SSR Agle Strusse wheels… I completely overlooked it because apparently it has a 1J swap that I missed out on capturing.
Stunning S15 Silvia sporting a Vertex Ridge kit, Voltex wing, Advan GT wheels, and full Project Mu brakes representing Intec Racing.
Codi Blanken acquired this legit EK9 CTR from Jeff Diaz some time ago, and west straight to refreshing the engine bay. He paired the original B16B crate with Toda ITB’s, JUN Auto valve cover, and billet JSP spark plug cover.
Mike Brown never fails to show out in his super clean Spoon S2K. Always nice to see it around.
Nic Buettner’s FL5 Type R shining bright with the triple chrome CE28N’s done by Bulletproof PowderCoating. Tony Dau got a set done for his R as well, but I didn’t get a photo of his new whip… Sorry homie, but Nic’s car still looks good lol. The Exceep lip merged with a Racebred splitter was a nice addition as well.
Trikspeed OG, Dennis Marino, rare appearance with his E46 M3 on HRE wheels.
Josh “Juice” Soriano’s UK Integra Type R tucking 17” MF10’s. I didn’t realize he was the one that copped Omal’s Mugen Gen 1 wing until after the show… Looking fire though!
I don’t think Pow Prinpasert has done much to his EG lately. Seems like he’s always back and forth with Hondas and Old Schools. All good though. The passion is strong. They had a rough time installing his hood back on after the show ended. I tried giving them a hand, but pretty sure I ended up stripping one of the holes LOL…
Alex and Sarah Chac are known to have blue cars, but this one definitely takes the cake. Their debut was a real crowd pleaser for sure. The attention to detail is something many people need to take notes of. The Audi Navarra Blue paint was something that popped in a very subtle way. It went through a few different painters until they were satisfied, but seemed to have paid off. It’s been years since I last seen a Buddy Club lip in person, or just on an EG in general. The last time I seen one was on DPK David Andrade’s coupe at Wekfest LA in 2017. Of course, I gotta show love to the OG Endless brakes tucked behind the 16x8 +38 TE37’s. Unfortunately I didn’t get any detailed photos of the car. I guess I was too caught up in the moment. 9 years in the making resulted in this well executed build. Very well deserved of the Judge’s Choice award, and definitely my favorite car at this year’s event 🙌🏼
The EG is powered by a K-swap paired with Hayward Performance ITB’s sitting resting in the flawless engine bay.
The Gen 2 FEEL’S radiator cap on the CSF radiator was probably my favorite addition lol…
The SERIALNINE team will always hold it down with Toyota suspension components, but looks like they’re expanding to BMW chassis’ as well…
Nikolay Konstantinov debuted this eye catching 240SX. I like how mixed in the Type X kit with the Koguchi Power front & rear fenders along with the carbon kevlar doors.
A lot of clearance made to store in the 2JZ swap paired with a sequential transmission.
It was great to see one of Joey Lee’s builds in person. His EK9 N1 is something that isn’t overly done, but the details are quite astonishing. Another car I regret not capturing any other photos, but I guess that’s another good reason for me to make a trip down to SoCal.
Franklin Sil’s DC2 Type R equipped with every Mugen catalogue part available for the 97R. The Honda Access chrome headlight garnish goes well with the Mugen M7’s and silver Spoon brakes.
A whole lot of polished goods in the bay. Frank runs a K24 swap with Hayward Performance ITB’s and several AN Fittings.
Darkside Racing President and San Jose legend, Chris Dumlao, represented Team California as well. He’s won several “Best of Show” awards down there, so he had to come up and make his mark as well with his murdered out EG hatch. The Sergeant bumper pairs well with the Exceep lip, and I dig the Sprint Hart CP-035 wheels that gives it a classic look.
If you didn’t know, Chris is all about speed. Best believe he gets down with his boosted K24 swap and is willing to challenge to anyone.
Adam Mao recently took home Best of Show at the San Jose show, and now the Seattle event… Is it a surprise? Not really. Just shows how hard they can achieve a goal.
Team California came and conquered, so I’m sure this will motivate a lot of the PNW builders to go even harder and show out down there for the 2027 season…
Mila took advantage of my presence and got some shots done with her car and several others. Eh it’s a win-win for all of us.
Thanks for reading y’all! Until the next post ✌🏼
