Wekfest Seattle 2025 Part 2

It’s been a busy past couple weeks… Went to Midnight Revup in Canada the other weekend and celebrated my 31st last weekend, which is why I haven’t been that productive with editing photos. But like I mentioned before, I’m enjoying life and moving at my own pace rather than rushing shit.
Anyways I finally got some time to sit down and bust out the remaining photos from WF SEA. A solid mix of the same cars you’ve seen before on the blog and some new ones. This year’s winners seemed to be questionable to some, but I think they were all well deserved. Enjoy ✌🏼

Chris Rafanan’s S2000 is something I will always highlight. It looks amazing from all angles. He claimed he didn’t know what he was doing when he was buffing out his car days prior to the show, but he’s a damn liar lol. The Paragon breaks tucked behind the Volk Racing RE30 wheels were a nice addition and definitely helped make the car pop even more.

Clean and proper bay including an Origin Fabrication titanium intake & strut bar, and dressed with quite a few carbon fiber add-ons. Peep the C’s Customizing reservoir cover. All these details matter, which led Chris to score the ‘S2000 of the Festival’ award.

Not much has changed to Amedeo Funaro’s UK spec ITR. What more can you do though to something that’s already perfect? Congrats to him on taking home the ‘Integra of the Festival’ award!

This is probably the cleanest EK9 CTR build I’ve seen in person. Thomas Strom perfectly executed his hatch utilizing a long list of parts from a Spoon Sports catalog.

I didn’t get a picture of the engine bay, but Mel Diego made some changes to his award winning EP3 such as TODA ITB’s and a paint refresh on his Mugen lip.

I’m pretty sure Brian Madayag won ‘EG/EK of the Festival’ award mainly because of how good of the buff job I did… Just playing lol. I know he’s been busting his ass on the car the past year, and everything just fell into place in a great way.

I’m not sure if Huy Hoang won anything this year for REDRUM, but I do know that it’s currently in transit to show out at Wekfest San Jose this weekend! Definitely the perfect place to showcase a masterpiece, along with many other Bay Area heavy hitters.

This year’s ‘Best of Show’ winner went to Jeff Woodruff and his wild Lexus RC-F loaded with a full Kazama Auto GT Concept Aero and 2JZ-GTE swap with a sequential transmission. Something different for once, but I like it!

Loved the color on this manual swapped Aristo fitted with Ganador mirrors and Work Kiwami wheels.

The RPSworks guys definitely attracted a lot of attention with their fire RPS13’s. Their matching color turned a lot of heads, and the cars are well put-together especially for the track. Andrew from Stateside Garage chose the perfect booth cars for this show.

Derrik Pompeo gets down on the track with his RPS13 fitted with a GP Sports G-Sonic Evolution kit on Nismo LMGT-4 wheels.

The 180 is powered by a 2JZ-GTE swap with a BrianCrower stroker kit. It sounded real nice rolling into the venue.

Terry Suvonnarith and some other TRIKspeed members showed up slightly different this year by bringing in their 2 wheelers instead of their cars. Maybe they just wanted to share the wealth and let others win this time lol.

I always thought Steve Kwan was going to let go of his E46 M3 for another Honda, yet he still has it after how many years and continues to switch up wheels like a pair of kicks. No surprise though coming from a fellow sneaker head. After many phases, I think this is his best set-up yet.

I’m used to seeing Jack Raible with his FA5 Civic, but he switched it up and brought out his NC Miata suited with a Garage Vary kit on SSR Type-C wheels.

You don’t see these often done up right, or at least I don’t, but it’s pretty damn neat. I told him my favorite part of his build is the FamilyMart vanity plate.

A couple more shots of this rad RB-swapped S14 Kouki. Still haven’t looked into who the owner is.

Ken Sugawara pulled the plug and finally converted over to the 5 lug gang with NSX brakes. You can bet that he’s already been collecting a few sets of wheels as well, including these mag blue CE28’s he copped from Anton Madamba. Looking good par!

For the longest I was wondering who owned this EK hatch, until they reposted the photo from Part 1. Ricky Keomuongtai has been lowkey building this EK for 4 years and finally brought it out. This is the first time I’ve seen a Bomex front lip in person, and it flows real well with the J’s Racing fenders and C-West side skirts.

Ricky swapped in a K along with a handful of Spoon goodies. The overall build is pretty sleek with the black & grey theme. I didn’t get photos of the interior, but even the cage is grey as well.

Beans Verduzco pulled up with his VSM EK. I rarely ever appreciated on how clean it really is. A lot of EK9 CTR parts and the blue Wilwood brakes are solid.

Cy Gines from Refine Finish laid down the super wet paint on this EK hatch dumped on Work RS11 wheels.

Nice B swap resting in the clean bay.

Super clean S2000 on CE28’s owned by Dylan Dupree. I love the Atomic Orange paint that came off the C5 Corvette.

What definitely stood out to me are the URGE designs ITB’s and ASM GT strut tower bar. So fire!

Sebring Silver AP1 sporting a CR lip, JDM headlights, Spoon mirrors, and ASM spoiler.

Baller Project Mu BBK tucked behind OG bronze TE37’s.

Proper AE86 on perfectly spec’d TE37’s. The carbon fenders are a nice addition.

20V 4A-GE with ITB’s powering this cool coupe.

Christian Umagat painted this AE86 hatch for his colleague earlier this year. Boogie All Year Long baby!

SW20 MR2 on TE37 SAGA S-PLUS owned by Keoni Reyes.

I’m pretty sure if a gothic ABG mom were to be into cars, they would own something like this lol. This bagged RX F-Sport rocking an Artisan Spirits kit was pretty gnarly.

Teddie Pequet and Ed Gaborno repping Liberty VIP hard in the PNW. Congrats again to my dawg Teddie on taking home ‘Best Lexus’!

Hiro Hero has built some awesome Hondas over the years with majority, or maybe even all, being white lol. Even though being a pretty lowkey guy, he’s done a lot with all the cars he’s had especially with the S2000. This FL5 is very subtle, but stands out with the paint matched CLEiB front lip, Mugen side skirts, Spoon Sports wing, and racing green TE37’s housing the Endless brakes. If I were to own an FL5, I’m pretty sure it would look similar to this.

Alex Tran had a homie bring in his Del sol. This year he added on a Mode Parfume front lip, Mugen wing, Porsche brakes, and dressed up the bay a little.

Dale Ibiaz’s FK8 equipped with a long list of parts from a Spoon Sports catalog.

Varis or Spoon? Which would you choose?

Another shot of Fulina Tran’s S15. I rarely hype up blue cars, but this looked real good in person!

Ryan Shigeta’s Autech Version Stagea 260RS on Nismo LMGT-4 wheels.

The crew at U.P. Garage did an amazing job putting together this HKS powered RB swap including an HKS single turbo and ARC intake.

Super happy for the bro, Ken, for hitting the ‘Civic of the Festival’ award! It’s great to have a loving wife that supports his passion, unless Sabrina is good at pretending 🤣 Congrats again Par!

I wouldn’t have ever expected an AE86 to be included in Team Overtake, but it’s good to have a variety lol. Anyways here’s a cool shot of Garo Roy’s Corolla on SSR Longchamps.

Had to include some real fire content and got a quick shot of Mila Bunny posing with Marion Ignacio’s FD. You’re welcome 😉

Welp that’s it for now. Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for the next post, which should be fairly soon.
