Cars with Sole 9.1.24

Our good friends over at SoleSeattle relocated & opened their doors about a month ago. So you know what I had to do? Bring back our “Cars with Sole” gathering! Our event last year at the old location was poppin, so you know we had to break in their new spot with this unique meet. I originally wanted to set this up for the weekend before, but I ran into some emergency oral issues [fuck wisdom teeth] so we had to postpone until further notice. During my recovery, it was driving me insane not being able to do much… So Kevin and I spontaneously decided to do it during Labor Day weekend. Even though we had to crunch some things together such as promo shoots and such, we still made it work with the little time we had. Even though it was a holiday weekend and quite a few homies were busy, the overall turnout was pretty damn good. A nice variety of fire whips and great people. We chose to not have any vendors this time since our main goal was to have the crowd support the neighboring businesses. Seems like everyone did well though!

I wanna give a big thanks to Kevin Culala for collabing again and making this meet happen. Couldn’t have done this without him and the rest of the SoleSeattle staff! Appreciate everyone for coming through as well and copping merch. For those that missed out, we still have some collab tees available HERE. Enjoy the coverage!

Their new location is prime with all the traffic around, and the space is way better compared to the OG location.

I'm gonna do my best to have a "feature vehicle" for every Cars with Sole. For this year I chose Steve Kwan's E46 M3 on OG bronze CE28's. It was fitting since Steve is a good homie of both Kevin and I.

Ken Sugawara finally installed this custom Formula Grey valve cover that he came up on from Loc Nguyen. Very subtle, but perfect for the EK.

Jack Raible made it out with his sweet FA5 fitted with a JDM FD2 Type-R conversion, INGS N-Spec front bumper, and aggressive staggered RPF1's.

Terry Suvonnarith mobbed out from White Center to Lynnwood in his tricked out Honda Ruckus. Definitely a mob, but I guess he enjoys the cruises while the weather is still good up here.

Almost fulfilled the bronze wheel theme up front that I didn't plan on doing. It sorta just flowed in together lol.

Bobby Multani dipped up to Canada early that morning to pick up this EM1 front bumper with a carbon First Molding lip & J's Racing canards from Umer Khokhar. Definitely a nice come up for Bobby, and even made it back in time for the meet.

The guys from Team Overtake always mob deep in almost every gathering they attend.

Jimmy Cooks' A90 Supra definitely gives a bumblebee vibe. Nice color combo with all the carbon selection like the hood and Sayber Design lip, and the aerofabb swan neck wing is something different rather than the common Voltex most people rock. Of course the Regamasters are fire!

The lot was getting pretty full by noon.

The Bastos boys made it up again. They're definitely some real ones, even though we talk a lot of shit lol. Shoutout to my dawgs Ed, Poges, and Ted!

Chris Cabigting brought his E36 sedan in a Laguna Seca colorway on Kansei wheels.

Chris' sedan was way better staged next to Alex Tran's M3.

Boone's RX-8 utilizing a Vertex kit and Work VS-KF wheels.

Gabe's EK9 Civic Type-R sporting a J-Blood bumper, carbon hood, and Kosei K1's.

Richard Cooper's JZX100 Chaser equipped with an Origin Labs Racing Line kit & fenders.

Minh Bui's G80 M3 looking great as usual.

I didn't realize Dan Phan was at the meet until he was leaving in his F80. My bad bro, but good seeing you for a bit! lol

Sarah Decker pulled up real quick in her millenium jade S2000 on TE37SL's. Or should I say her mahal, Caryl Dela Rosa, pulled up... You get the idea lol. Always great seeing the both of them!

Alex Hudson's '97 Toyota Century bagged on Work Emitz wheels.

It was great to have former & current coworkers show up & support what I do. Team Lucid yo! ⚡️

Christian Benavides got this MR2 from SoCal a couple years ago and enjoys driving it as much as he can. He hasn't made any changes to it other than some maintenance, but he is looking for a new set of wheels. *cough cough Regas...

I'm still amazed Terry made the long trek in the Ruckus. Appreciate the support homie!

Lian Chavda slid through in his SL500 vert on Work Eurolines.

Sean Roh's GR86 dumped on mercury silver TE's.

Clean 240SX hatch rocking an M Sports kit, 326Power wing and 326Power Yabaking wheels.

A couple of nice 911's parked in the back...

@roskezy's 997 on SSR Formula Mesh wheels. A little different from what I'm used to seeing, but I like it!

Ricky's Guards Red 997 on BBS LM-R wheels. He has a fire E36 M3 sedan as well. Baller!

Deebo Thach made it with his EK hatch. He debuted it at the Backyard Boogie x Filthy show last month, and I still can't get over how good this looks.

Tony Dau slept in after a long night of working on his EK. He was humble for once and just hung out rather than picking on what's around. Although he showed up fairly late and there weren't many cars leftlol.

The SoleSeattle screw hard at work. Cop the merch while you can, because once they're sold out we're never restocking again!

Vinnie Nguyen, Brandon Thai, and Long Phan all posted next to each other. I nice blend of NWMotiv and Super Kawaii lol. Long is currently in Vietnam, but Ajay Berry ended up bringing in his sedan for him.

Loc Nguyen was on the way home from another event, but decided stop by during the last hour in his DC2R.

The Canada squad came down again for the day, but missing Gal Galang again...

Eryka Alejandro taking a stroll with the boys around the lot. You can tell Avery was more excited than Aidyn lol.

Mark Tatel's Mugen loaded RSX on TE37's. He just bought the carbon hood the day before the meet, and he plans to paint match it.

Nico Miranda sold his STi some time ago and came up on this F80 M3. He kinda misses the Subie every now & then, but this car is way better in my opinion haha.

I was wondering why Umer Khokhar decided to part out his EM1... It was either because he wanted to sell the car or he bought a new project. I kinda thought he got someone pregnant too 🤣 But sure enough, here's his new whip. Another F80 M3 added to the squad. He wasted no time and slapped on the TE's for a solid debut. Congrats again homie! Looking forward to seeing what he does to this, and the EM1 if he still decides to keep it.

Rich Alejandro got a fresh set of BBS LM's to go along with the sleek look he has on his F80. I think this is his best set-up so far 🖤💛

Had to get a photo with all of them. Appreciate their support!

Joseph Cabaccang drove down to Portland that weekend and came back up with his new 1JZ powered Cressida! This car is so sick, and to be honest I like it slightly more than his S13 Silvia lol.

Vy came through with the MF squad in her JZX100 Chaser on Kansei wheels. Her car looks so good next to the white Evo IV during golden hour.

Joseph Song was on the way home, but decided to stop by last minute in his lifted 3rd gen 4Runner. Always good to see another Northend homie!

Kevin Chhun made it last minute as well in his well-executed LS400.

Last one standing... Kevin Culala finally got his 3rd gen 4Runner he's been wanting for a while early this year, and got it lifted and slapped on TE37XT's. His Si is currently for sale, so for anyone looking go cop it!

Thanks for reading! Stay tuned for the next one!
