Namsayin x Think Bigger Project 3.6.22

Sorry to be a ghost like usual due to the busy grind, but I’m glad to be able to post something on here again! A couple weeks ago, the Namsayin bros hosted another big meet that they collabed with The Big Mike at Sam Choy’s in Tukwila. Not surprising that the turnout was pretty damn epic, especially since the lot got full before the event even started. Some heavy hitters showed up from a far distance and quite a few new cars in the community made a first appearance. It was great catching up with some old friends and meeting new ones. In time I’ll make a big post about the Namsayin Community Connections and South Side Car Cruises that the awesome Franco brothers put together, but for now here’s some highlights with the rest of my coverage from this recent gathering.

The Minty King, Jacob Reyes, pulled up right when we parked. He took off a few parts and went for a classic look.

The Backyard Boogie bros, Sven & Derek Malla, always shining together. Derek took off the 5 lug a while back and slapped on Justin’s Regas.

Compared to Wekfest, Ben switched up the wheels & valve cover to a nice set of MF10L’s and J’s Racing colorway VC.

I love how bronze MF10’s can make almost any car look so much more fire, just like Winson Mang’s EG4.

Winson’s wifey, Nai, brought along his S2000 rocking a Spoon bumper & hood, J’s Racing fenders, and aggressive CE28SL’s. Power couple!

Franky Chan back on the road, and this time rolling on BBR Competition wheels.

Mike Legaspi made some hefty upgrades to his Taco in such a short amount of time including Mag Blue TE37X wheels, Prinsu Rack, and RTT. I already miss the OG TE’s, but at least they went to a good home.

Tomas Burns finally got his legit EK3 running smoothly enough to show out this fire whip. I loved his EG, but I can tell this car is something real special for him. Better for the fam too!

My go-to JDM parts sourcer/dealer, Chinh D., finally acquired an NA1 NSX after a crazy search. He was brave enough to drive this all the way from Arizona with his fiancée. He gave it a nice clean, put on some Ganador mirrors, and made his official/unofficial debut at the meet. I can’t wait to see what he has in store for this car. Give him a follow because you don’t want to miss out, and also buy some wheels from him! He always has some heat for sale!

Fred de Leon came through in his B20V powered CR-X. I never met Fred in person, but judging from IG he’s a true OG and gets down on the track.

I believe Fred is also known as the “4x100 King” since he specializes in Rare JDM wheels.

It’s rare for Andrew Napenias to pop out with his widebody Z32 300ZX, so that’s how you know it’ll be a great time. Plus he’s so dreamy as a person 🤩

Pretty cool seeing a legit S15 Silvia out here in the PNW, owned by Trenton Culbert. Dig the simple look with Work Emotion CR 2P wheels and Ganadors.

First time seeing this VIP Q45 with a Mode Parfume kit and Leon Hardiritt Waffes. Super clean and well put together.

Tristan Besabe brought his R32 GT-R out of hibernation, and yes it was actually him that drove it this time instead of Marion lol. Sad though because he’s actually considering on selling it and already has a potential buyer… Sucks even more because he’s most likely moving to a different state as well 😔 But we talked and these decisions would turn out for the better for him, which made me happy!

Mr. NWMotiv himself Vinnie Nguyen’s NA1 NSX rocking some Ganadors and OG concave TE’s.

Brandon Thai and Hector OG rolling in smooth with their S2K’s.

A whole lot of PHP in this photo [only some will understand].

I’m pretty sure I’ve seen both of Mikee Andrada’s cars plenty of times by now, but I can’t seem to get tired of admiring them.

Zach Leitzke from Under-Pressure Racing pulled up in his super sick 2JZ powered S2000.

MOTOR GOALS!!! 🤤

Holly Phan recently picked up this ‘86 Corolla in Cali and had it transported up here just in time for the meet. It’s funny because we ran into her in Chinatown the night before grabbing boba at Oasis. This thing is so dope and makes me want one even more! Congrats again Holly!

Finally another Pandem FC3S RX7 around the area. I like the color!

Ryan Stanley picked up this ‘95 MK4 Supra Turbo last month. One of my dream cars for sure!

Kenji Nishimura is back in the game with this Top Secret GT300 Supra he purchased not too long ago! A lot of potential with this build and I’m stoked to see what he has planned.

Ryan Medrzycki was one of the lucky few to purchase a limited M-FAB strut bar/booster brace combo. Only 10 ever made!

It’s always great to have Austin Hironaka around.

With the fairly new release of FK8 Spec MF10’s being sold, there’s no doubt that A LOT of Type R owners are gonna try to get their hands on a set. I must say they look great though!

Tim Le’s VIP inspired Accord on Weds Kranze Bazreias that he’s been dying to break in with the dialed suspension. He’s wild and I like it!

My guy Teddie Pequet was on his way to show out his old-new ‘76 Corona, but some mechanical issues came up and had to turn around. Thankfully he was able to make it back home safely, switch cars, and show up to the meet in his GS before it ended.

We decided to go on a cruise to Alki, but after a few runs the Jollie Rocket gave out for once.

Thankfully John Nguyen lived somewhat nearby and had a spare part for Ben to replace. A true MVP! 🙌🏼

Austin being his usual self by slapping some Hiro’s Hotrods stickers everywhere he goes.

“Race it, break it, rebuild, then race it again!” - Backyard Boogie

Nice to put on a little show on the side of the highway causing traffic.

Once we were back on the road and headed to alki, we ran into Gramps aka Don Nguyen on the way there with his FBP Integra Type R he bought last fall. Ever since then he’s been restoring it back to its glory days slowly, but surely.

We also bumped into Sam Preng on the way there as well in his clean DB1.

Sanjil Raj met us in his K-swapped Captiva EG on Deep Sea Blue Regamaster EVO II wheels.

Austin was having some problems as well starting his car. Thank God almost everyone knows what they’re doing. Always gotta stay positive regardless especially with that smile!

Nothing like ending the day at Burgermaster 🍔

Franky flexing some glazed cases. Shoutout to Sanjil for plugging us all!

Hope you enjoyed this post! Thanks for viewing!
