Northwest Lexus Owners Meet 2021

Finally another blog post! For those that aren’t familiar, NWLO [Northwest Lexus Owners] is a group of Lexus enthusiasts around the PNW! They’ve been around for quite some time now and I’ve been a silent member since 2013. I’m not as active on the Facebook forum & don’t really post much compared to a lot of other homies, but I do tend to scroll through and see what’s good with everyone’s builds. To be honest the community isn’t as big compared to SoCal, the East Coast, or even Hawaii. Don’t get me wrong though we do have a lot of heavy hitters, and almost everyone I met in the community are great individuals! I do know that there are some people that keep their cars super lowkey and don’t really come out, but hopefully I can help change that by giving them the proper exposure they deserve.
Back in May, the admins of NWLO hosted a Washington and Oregon meet back to back. I was only able to make it to the WA meet since I had a lot going on during the weekend of the OR meet. We first met up at the Gravity Coffee lot in Federal Way and eventually cruised to Point Ruston in Tacoma. The turnout was solid overall with the perfect overcast weather, and it was great catching up with old friends & meeting new people since it’s been a while that a meet was officially put together.

Right when we pulled up to the meet, the first thing that caught my eye was this nicely modified IS300 on TE37’s owned by Alfredo Munoz Jr [@jr2jzgte].

He drove about 2.5 hours from Oregon just to attend this meet. A committed community member for sure!

Once Alfredo popped his hood I liked his car even more! A proper 2J set up in my opinion. It sounded so dope when he did a mini pull leaving the lot.

OG member & admin of NWLO Joshua Bolduc’s [@libertyvip.josh_wa] super clean LS460 equipped with an INGS lip kit and custom Luxury Abstract Telum wheels. The paint color resembles his old GS that he built a while ago that I shot before he moved to Texas. He eventually moved back and never lost his touch in the VIP game! He’s currently the only plated member of Liberty VIP up here!

Ed Gaborno’s [@reinvent.ed] LS430 UL running a WALD lip kit on Garson Ryugi’s.

I convinced the bros Franky Chan [@masterfranky] and Elroy Quemado [@elroyydean_tcg] to bring their cars out & cruise down with me to the meet. Good to have great company, a little bit of ratchetness, and aloha in the mix!

Cy Gines [@cy.refine] came through with his ‘95 Toyota Crown that he just put together at that time! He owns a body shop ‘Refine Finish’ [@refine.finish] where he does top quality work and built this bad boy. Full custom body work and suspension all dumped on a custom set of rare Volk Racing C-Ultra 3 Spokes! A lot of people didn’t realize that the bottom half of the front bumper is from a 2nd gen GS! So sick!

I couldn’t stop staring at the amazing paint job Cy did to his car. Super wet & hella clean! He actually painted a few other NWLO members’ cars as well including Josh’s LS460 and Teddie’s GS400.

Diddy Pagdilao [@its_diddy] showed up with his clean GS300 on Leon Hardiritt Ordens. It’s great having an old church brother as a member in the car community as well lol.

Whenever there’s a meet or car show going on around town, a shit load of IS owners from Lexus Society always mob deep and show out!

Different taste, same passion.

When we were cruising to the 2nd spot, I decided last minute that I wanted to take a few rolling shots while I was driving. So what did I do? I just sent it by having my cousin, PJ [@pjdajuanandonly], steer & guide through traffic for me while I was shooting and managing the pedals at the same time. Unfortunately out of all the photos I took, only 2 shots came out clear and they’re both of Cy’s Crown lol.

The shots came out pretty fire though!

Another OG member & admin of NWLO Teddie Pequet’s [@nagimas.libertyvip__] GS400 fitted with a full Aimgain Smart Line kit and Weds Kranze Bazreia’s. He’s also a Liberty VIP member as well and currently the only prospect in WA!

A nice pair of IS300’s owned by Henry [@dambi_206] and I honestly forgot the other guy’s name. I messed up because this was like 5 months ago where we chatted a bit about his car & such. I feel bad, but I’ll find out who he is! Once I do I’ll edit this caption lol.

Although I gotta say, I do like his motor set up as well! Factory 6 speed too!

Christian Corpuz’s [@squ.is.hy] bagged IS300 F Sport on OG Volk Racing CE28’s and Andrew Nam’s [@anam.media] bagged IS350 F Sport on Volk Racing TE37SL’s. The perfect Yin and Yang duo. I was giving Squishy shit about the Super Street Sticker on his windshield since he was never featured in the mag 🤣 [still love you fam 😘].

Franky really was the odd one out flexing hard on his 24” Forgiato’s, making my stock LS430 UL look tiny as hell lol. This is the first photo of our cars parked together and most likely the only time you’ll see my car in this blog [stock 👀].

From what I recall, Elroy slapped on his OEM optional Celsior lip kit for the meet. It fits the car perfectly on air ride. All he’s missing is a nice set of wheels, but in time I know he’ll find the perfect set up!

Josh and Teddie asked if I could take a few photos of them to send over to the Liberty guys. I couldn’t say no to some of my Day 1 supporters! Sorry for taking so long with editing these photos 😅
